Introduction

Paris Kaimakis is a post-doctoral research associate in the Signal Processing Group in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge.

Research

Paris received the BA/MEng degree in 2003 and the PhD degree in 2009, both from the University of Cambridge. His PhD research was supervised by Joan Lasenby and focused on the development of gradient-based algorithms for tracking articulated bodies using silhouette data.

Paris is currently a member of the TIME project, working on the visual detection, recognition and tracking of vehicles for real-time traffic monitoring applications.
