Bill is the Professor of Applied Statistics and Signal Processing.
He is also the Head of Research in the Signal Processing Laboratory in the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, England.
He works on Bayesian inference applied to signal and data modelling.
He is also interested in nonlinear signal processing, image restoration and medical imaging, extreme value statistics, bio-informatics, data mining and data classification.
He is particularly interested in the applications of Sequential Monte Carlo (particle filtering) methods to
signal processing and communication problems.
